After a quad purchase there were breaks that I´ve mind it. Staff that´s the break control over by the foot lever for all wheels. I was used to use the forward and the backward breaks separately. And that was the reason why I have decided for break tunning.
tools: cross-head screwdriver, number 9 and 14 spanner.
Firstly I have bought forward break lever with a bowl and a stop light switch from Yuki enduro. Firstly you should undo an accelerator and than the break lever out off the steering handlebar. You can put the back break parking cable assembly off, as well. Now you can install your new forward lever.
You should loose a flow screw of the armoured hose by the break cylinder of the footbreak where is a break fluid. Disconnect the hose of forward breaks. And now we have 2 possibilities for next process : Either you can buy a shorter flow screw or one eye flow ( fill the tube gap – blind it ), which is cheaper ( see picture 1 ).
Pull the forward armoured hose through the fraim towards the new front lever. You should try the turning if there is no strain. And after the bolting we can pour the break fluid into the bowl. The long process of deaerating can start. Press the lever as long as the break pressure appears. Wait for a congelation, press the lever by one hand and use your second hand for loosing the deaerting screw on the left wheel – but for only a very short moment. (see picture 3 ). Good advice – put a transparent hose on to see how the air is going out. Repeat this process until the bubles stop going out.
This adjustment was very helpfull both on the road and in the terrein for myself. Perfect for blustering if your quad is going to skid.
